Emergency Generator

The emergency generator for Spanish Main Yacht Club is located on the

North side of the clubhouse. The generator is powered by natural gas.

On a weekly basis, the generator kicks on automatically and runs an emergency

test of the system.

In the event of a power outage to the clubhouse, the emergency generator

will automatically come on and will continue to run until power is restored to the

clubhouse. The generator will not run if natural gas is not available to the generator.

A complete maintenance check of the generator is done at least twice a year.

The emergency generator runs the following:

Clubhouse inside lights

Clubhouse outside lights

Kitchen lights

Men’s and women’s restroom lights

Clubhouse air conditioning, including offices

Electrical outlets in the clubhouse and kitchen

Stove, refrigerator and microwave

Water heater

Pool pump
